Great location and excellent food. But boy oh boy is the service brusque. Like diner service after your waitress just got another call from the local police to pick up her never-do-well little brother the second time in the same week. The dish wasn’t was perfectly balanced. The spice was mild and went perfectly with the lobster. The pasta was fresh and thin which made the dish more enjoyable and delicious in my opinion. The best restaurant choice we made since coming to Boston.
I really enjoyed this restaurant. It is very pretty and the views of the city are beautiful! The service is great and I absolutely loved my waiter Artimas (probably spelled his name wrong) he was very attentive to our dining needs and had good suggestions for wine when the restaurant didn’t carry the Rosa we like to drink. So I give Contessa’s five stars and our waiter 10 because he made our lunch experience an extra pleasure.
Contessa on Newbury is a spectacular experience from start to finish, it’s easily one of my and my wife’s favorite spots in Boston. The food completely lives up to the gorgeous, upscale atmosphere. The burrata is always incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared, making it the perfect starter.
