Brought my bike in for a brake bleed and check, left with a barely working back brake and a front brake that can’t even get close to locking out. Took it back the next day and the technician patronized me and told me that was how brakes were supposed to be, which is obviously not true. Both brakes were in perfectly fine working condition before it brought them in. I have had great experiences here otherwise but this definitely lost my business.
Twice I've found myself mid ride in need of a bit of a drivetrain tune up. Both times they helped me out without a wait for a reasonable price. I really appreciate their willingness to do a small job that let's me get right back to riding.
Contender Bikes absolutely nailed it. Ordered a bike online and, instead of just boxing it up and sending it out, they reached out first to get my details so they could dial in the suspension. That’s the kind of service you usually only get in a really good local shop. They kept me in the loop the whole time while the bike was being prepped, which made the whole process feel super dialed and not just another online order. This is how online bike sales should be done! Great communication, great service—couldn’t ask for more.
Great service at a fair price, they work hard to get it right. These guys love bikes and it shows.
We're fortunate to have a lot of good bike shops and mechanics in the Park City area, but I think Contender may be the best. Had two really great experiences recently with their service team - very courteous and knowledgeable, and were very willing to listen to my issues and offer different solutions, depending on how much I was willing to spend.
