Consumer reports recommendations have become increasingly unreliable. I will now no longer use their publication or trust their reviews
STAY FAR AWAY. They have a very deceptive, actually a scam, auto renewal process. They will charge you $10 if you cancel. I had no idea it would auto renew, until I was charged. I notified them that day, but only received rudeness. No matter what I said, their response was "it is our policy." Since they are unethical with their renewal process, one can assume their reviews are suspect and not legitimate.
DO NOT use this company. They have no ethics. They will auto-renew you, then charge you $10, even if you cancel the day of auto-renewal. Their customer service response is "it is our policy."
BEWARE of unscruptious and confusing online prices and, if one speaks with customer service, upselling tactics and conflicting pricing information occurs. If one contacts 'customer service' immediately after a harrowing online experience, customer will be charged $ 10 for cancelling any subscription. It's ironic Consumer Reports isn't consumer friendly when one wants to purchase its magazine. Potential customers are punished for attempting to get sales clarifications.
