I agree with Ernesto Ramirez & W & TJ's reviews! Coal is just a amazing way to produce electricity, and if it gets dirty just put some scrubbers on the stacks which clean the smoke output. It is also the best sight to see from the shore. I love this facility!
We shouldn't take our beautiful shoreline for granted. This plant should be shut down and replaced with wind and solar.
I'd say keep er open...nothing beats the beautiful clean coal to produce energy.
I remember when energy was cheap. Coal is cheap and people complain about high energy cost from fluctuations of natural gas prices, solar when its not sunny and wind when its not blowing yet solar, wind and battery storage take to destroy more land than than a coal plant that can produce 5x the amount of power than eco energy. Nobody asked people to live near a power plant. Yall want cheap energy now? If this closes expect rates to double with data center growth and companies to leave to find cheaper energy.
