After losing power during an ice storm February 23rd around 9pm, consumers was on the hunt with their spot lights down our long gravel road. They had us up and running at 11:09pm. God bless the hard working men and women of Consumers Energy in and around Marshalltown Iowa!
When I've experienced outings, the service was efficient and timely. The linemen and office staff have always been great and helpful. However... I don't care for their "late" policy terms. In full disclosure, I was late on an invoice, which is due on the 3rd of the month. Mid-month I was contacted in person as a reminder and assessed a $75 fee for the personal contact. Day 3 of no power and the number of people without power in my area (2154) has not gone down a single digit.. Are your people even working? Midam got 10k people's power back up in a day.
A little confused about the bad reviews here; I've been a customer for over two years and have had zero issues. Setting up service was quick and easy - customer service was great! The SmartHub bill payment system is easy to use and convenient. I never had issues with my bills or service, and I was excited to be kept in the loop regarding co-op leadership and potential changes.
