This company doesn't even deserve 1 star. They told us we now have Fios in our area, I took the day off that THEY scheduled to have it installed. When the time frame passed, I called the company to see what was going on for the lady on the phone to tell me that they tried to call me on the 10th to let me know that we don't have it in our area. No messages left and no missed calls from consolidated. We're paying a ridiculous amount of money for service that goes out all of the time and is slow. How am I supposed to work from ... read more
The reviews don’t lie. The company is garbage. Our internet goes out at least once month because they haven’t buried our internet lines (we’ve been asking for this for almost a year). Tree branches and animals consistently rip out the cables. Attached is a photo of their work. Customer service is all outsourced and provides absolutely no useful or helpful information. I highly advise using a different company like Starlink for your internet.
If I could give this company a ZERO, I would. I have been without the internet for four days. Every time you call the #844 number, they read off a script and tell you the history of your prior calls, if you have made them. They are liars and can't promise you anything because they have no control. They have no information about a service call appt. in your area. Best bet, flag down the Consolidated Communication truck when you see it. Most of them will help you.
My mom's phone is not working, AGAIN, and she has a life alert connected to this phone. Her phone is also always cutting out when she's talking to someone. As usual they said it would be fixed the day it was reported, it wasn't!! What a surprise!! When I spoke to someone I basically got she'll send a note and wouldn't hear back for at least an hour as to when someone might fix it. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told I wouldn't get a call back from a supervisor for 24 hours. This company is a joke!!
Broadband performance, reliability, and customer service have all been drastically improved ever since FairPoint was taken over by Consolidated.
