This review pertains to Consignment Classics Home Furnishings in Encintas, CA. My husband and I purchased an oil painting that had a tag next to it for $499. We asked for assistance to bring the painting down to look at it and confirm the price. A white-haired gentleman kindly brought the painting down and told us the price was, as stated on the tag next to the item, $499. He even asked for assistance from another lady behind the front counter who also came over to look at the painting and confirmed that it was indeed $499. ... read more

My mother showed the employee the tag hanging on the shelf and the mats were sold to us at $10 each. Two hours later the manager Catherine literally calls m... read more

After my first three months, I suggested they separate the table and chairs. Instead they lowered the price and... read more

Business response:

You indicated you were not treated well when you consigned you dining set nine months ago (September, 2018). The guidelines of the contract you signed were not violated. We base our prices on similar items that have recently sold. Glass top dining tables are not popular as they once were. Your table and 8 chairs were priced at $477 as agreed. As you say “Despite the beautiful custom chairs and table worth over $1,200”, no one purchased the dining set during the contract period of ninety days. Additionally, the table and cha... read more
