We bought a Royal Berkey Water Purifier for our cottage in Muskoka. We draw water out of Dudley Bay and it goes through a fine particle filter and a blue light, but we never really felt safe drinking straight from the tap. We would buy large bottles of Muskoka Springs water for drinking and cooking, and lug them home from the grocery store.
