Dr. Biskmap and his amazing team just performed what I know was a very difficult hysterectomy on me (the poor man looked about as exhausted as I was when discussing surgery just after.) When performing my pre-operative biopsy, he was gentle, thoughtful, checked in on me multiple times, and definitely skilled with instrumentation. He explained everything very well, many times actually, before the actual surgery. My birth experience with Dr. Biskamp was one of the most emotionally difficult events I’ve endured. I left feeling dismissed, deeply disrespected, and completely unheard. There were moments that felt rushed, impersonal, and distressing - at a time when I needed support, care, and safety. * pelvic exams with him were conducted without a chaperone present, which made me extremely uncomfortable.
