I suggest you believe the low reviews you're reading - go to Yale Children's instead. It would be so convenient to have a children's facility like this one so close by, with so many specialist for children. I have experienced 2 different specialist here and they were both dismissive. Dr. Rowe especially was heartless and gave no consideration to my concerns about my child's symptoms. We had an excellent experience with Dr. Anthony Pastore. He saw my daughter after a car accident injury, and I truly have only the best words for him. He was professional, attentive, and very thorough in his evaluation. He took the time to listen carefully to our concerns, explained everything clearly, and made us feel reassured during a very stressful time. While the doctor seemed knowledgeable, this facility seems to exist to pile on unnecessary tests, visits, and treatments to overbill insurance companies and leave the patient with the remainder. My child was referred for additional treatments for a condition he does not have, and that were not covered by insurance. As noted by another reviewer, my child was asked to do a PFT, which he could not complete, and the nurse acknowledged that most children are unable to finish it. Leaving my review low for now. I will admit that I was not easy to deal with today. First you need your ID to prove who you are. Who else is going to be bringing their child to the Dr? Especially to see a specialist. Just say you need the DL number for billing purposes. If you do not have your ID they WILL ABSOLUTELY turn you away, even though they already have your insurance information on file.While I was at the front desk there was a woman asking for a release so her child could switch to different doctors.
