I signed my elderly mother up with Connect America Medical Alert, and she used the pendant system for three years until July 2025. I have no complaints about their technology nor the service reps we interacted with to update or test the system. However, we had a horrible experience terminating service five months ago when we moved my mom to an assisted living center and she no longer needed this service. Connect America with Medical Alert has awful customer service. They take advantage of the elderly. Customer service makes it very difficult to speak to anyone. Wait time is one hour. return calls never happen. Emails never come. The one time i actually was able to speak to a customer they tell you to return the unit and than there is a wait time of two weeks to process the returned item and you get charged the additional month. I have sent 100's of customers to this company in my time working with them and had an account that was a "business courtesy" for an elderly aunt. They have now started to charge her and when i tried to understand what was happening, i continued to get the annoying response from the customer service rep "I understand sir and I am very sorry." We regret ever going through this company! We plan to cancel our subscription asap. Terrible customer service and billing department. We have asked for a paper bill/statement repeatedly and they won’t send one and continue to charge the wrong credit card, despite admitting to their mistake. We requested a refund and Michelle, the customer service rep said frankly “No” after the prior customer rep told us she had taken care of it 3 days prior. Do your research and choose a better med alert company than Connect America.
They’re so trash couldn’t give me money back as a tech hopefully you guys get destroyed
