The Polar Bear Plunge which happens every January 1st is fantastic. And there's not a better place for it than the Coney Island Boardwalk and the beach there. Not only do they have a plunge into the water but they have DJ's very good ones who are playing music on the boardwalk. And there are large numbers of people dancing. It was just so much fun. Even though the temperature was 25 degrees and the wind was 25 mph. This is the happening place every New Year's day!
