If you don't want to know your options... – Okay, I want to know who "law booker" is. Either s/he A. Works for Conduit or B. Has never been to a real legal recruiter From my firsthand experience, it seemed like the only positions they knew about were with firms and there didn't seem to be any real understanding of different practice groups. Kept telling me what I wanted wasn't realistic.... FYI I have since found my "unrealistic" dream job...
Hang Up the Phone! – Not a very professional shop. Very eager to "place me," but when I explained what I was looking for, I was told it didn't exist. They kept trying to push a job I clearly was not interested in. If you've got the background, don't waste your time with these jokers. I finally got the recruiter to admit that they just didn't have the job I was looking for. BCG , for the record was great. Never worked with Major Lindsey, so can't comment there...
Conduit Recruiting... Great Legal Search Firm – Highly recommended. Conduit found me a great job, and was very accommodating. Mark the President was far from the stereotypical legal recruiter. Don't know why anyone would think otherwise. If you want a friendly and effective legal recruiting firm to help you find a job, Conduit Recruiting is a great choice. On top of that, I found that Conduit catered to my needs more than larger firms like Major, Lindsey (just one example). Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed!
Avoid unless you want to be pushed into the wrong position!!!! – Did not have a good experience. The head guy-- Mark-- was really shady. Not professional at all. Didn't listen to what I was interested in... just tried to push me at some job he was trying to fill. Stereotypical legal recruiter. Felt like he was trying to sell me a used car. Luckily, I interviewed a few recruiters and found one at Major, Lindsey that was great. Stay away from Conduit though... unless you are absolutely desparate!!!
