We were visiting New England from the desert Southwest. Friends that grew up in the Boston area recommended we visit Concord and stay at the Colonial Inn. Well, if not for its "Colonial History" this hotel would not be a place we would recommend. We arrived early and were helped out by a young man that checked us in early and gave us a room in the Prescott Wing. That was good. The Inn itself is ok for one night, but could use just some small upkeep improvements. Wasn't anything that ruined the trip/stay, but things that come with older properties such as this. Rooms were small. Weren't anything to write home about (good or bad). Staff was friendly and helpful. My burger at the restaurant was a little overdone for my tastes, but tasty enough. The highlight was the Boston Cream Pie dessert. All in all, it wasn't a bad place to spend a night in Concord if you're looking to visit the Minutemen sites.
We had a quick lunch there with my wife. What a pleasant and historic environment. Truly enjoyed the lunch, will be back again with our friends!
