I didn't know what to expect with my first visit at NovaCare but it turned into an experience I never anticipated. Lauren Gilley, PT was assigned to evaluating and prescribing the exercises that I need to eliminate the pain and tight muscles from my (2) lumbar fusion surgeries. After four visits and a special procedure using needles It was the first time in years I hadn't experienced lower back pain. I am a runner in my mid 30s. I have been running since I was in high school and have had very few injuries. Over the last year, I began to experience some minor hip pain. I backed off the mileage, started going to the gym, and continued to run through the pain a couple days a week. However, the pain continued for over a year, so I finally went to Concorde Therapy. After several visits with Yvette and Mark over about a month, I am back to running pain-free! Thank you Concorde Therapy!
While I cant speak about the therapists or the locations other than Alliance the fitness instructor and manager is least to be desired after calling to talk about the unprofessional service at Alliance Center. The Zumba teacher never acknowledge a newcomer who took a few lessons of Zumba/dance/fitness and told to leave because she was not following her to a tee. Excellent Customer Service!!!!! From the first visit I felt very welcomed. My therapist-Mr. J.R..is very Knowledgeable and his expertise is beyond comparison. The staff is tops!!!!!!

I availed the services of Novacare at 201 N. Craig St, Pittsburgh last year and walked away disappointed. The physician Dr Matthew P Shedlock, seemed OK, but the whole place seemed like a commercial enterprise. Since the first day, our discussions were not about therapy, but how much the insurance company would allow. The final straw was when I received my bill from High-mark. Clearly, I was overcharged. Avoid Novacare. They are a commercial enterprise, who over bill. Pittsburgh has much better places for physical therapy. Try some good doctors at UPMC instead.
This is a wonderful place to get therapy. They have a nice facility and aquatherapy. They are kind and helpful and go out of their way to work around my schedule. I'm very happy with my treatment!
Do not go to NovaCare on Cleveland Ave. Our kid was injured during the second visit there.
