The North Bridge in Concord, Mass. Is not original. The bridge has been replaced numerous times since 1775.. But reproduction built as part of Minuteman National Historic Park is as close to the original as possible.
To learn about American freedom and where the beginnings of action began. Reminds me of how proud I am to be an American
We went with the park ranger tour. It was a great experience and interesting to hear the history from the colonial and British sides as he quoted from the journals. The property was well maintained and the visitor center was a nice place to learn more from the video, a 3d lighted map (for my fellow olds, electric map) and a little display area that had some artifacts.
North Bridge in Concord is a quick and easy stop for anyone who appreciates American history. It's only 10 minutes from the main highway, doesn't cost anything to see, and its historical significance as where the Revolutionary War began speaks for itself. It's a quick and easy stop if you're just passing through, otherwise you can make a day of it with the area offering a myriad of other historical sites to visit in addition to North Bridge. All of this said, I highly recommend it as a stop for all lovers of history.
Historical location that is peaceful
