Waited for 5 hours a nurse then came out an said the wait would be 9 hours an they have No Beds. Don’t understand why they are even open.

Went to the ER last Saturday morning, I was taken right into a room. Within 40 minutes I had a CT and was told I needed to be admitted. Unfortunately, there were no open beds on the floors so I spent the night in the ER until a bed opened up at about 1pm Sunday. The care I received from the ER staff, physicians in both the ER and on the floor was amazing. On the day of my discharge I tried to order strawberry jello and it wasn’t set yet. I try to avoid hospitals at all costs, but an emergency appendectomy is one of those situations where they can't be avoided. I'm so so SOOOOO grateful for everyone at Lakes Region Hospital! Literally everyone is so friendly and compassionate. Even the janitorial staff! The ER staff, the OR staff, and my recovery team were all FANTASTIC. I wish I could name them all and give them proper credit. I'm forever grateful for how quickly and efficiently I was cared for.
