As flat landers from Texas, this was a HIKE. At 75 and 72, we made it with several breaks on the return uphill climb. My husband went the last leg alone. He's had one knee replacement and I have had both in the last two years, so it was best I wait for him. He said they were pretty, but that climb almost did him in.

Me and family took the trail down to the falls today. It's not a very short hike down. But the waterfalls are beautiful. It's very secluded, there was no one there. Again, it's a hard hike down and an even harder hike back up. You're basically going down a mountain and then going back up. I'm a big guy and out of shape, so I was worried about going back up. I made it, but with several breaks to catch my breath. So please, be warned, if you are not in the best of shape, you may want to reconsider hiking down. But hope you can... read more

Only about 1.75 Mile hike round trip but step elevation changes. We'll worth the time and effort

Read reviews ahead of time that said this hike would be "easy". I don't know who you super athletically gifted people are, but it was anything but easy for this slightly arthritic oversized gal. The drive to the trail was ROUGH. We were in a Jeep and it felt like we were off-roading. Parking was fine. Somehow there was a minivan there, it had to have bottomed out up the drive.
