I recently had the misfortune of dealing with CompuNet Clinical Laboratories in Middletown, OH, and I can confidently say that it was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a medical facility. I would prefer to give them 0 stars but that is not an option. I hate to post bad reviews, but I got up and walked out this morning. The check in was incredibly slow. I was there when they opened at 7, and didn’t get called back until probably 7:15 or 7:20. Then the girl that was going to draw my blood seemed really inexperienced which made me uncomfortable. She put gloves on, and then proceeded to touch the computer mouse and sift through drawers for supplies, and didn’t change the gloves before she started to feel for a vein. They let someone try to draw my blood who was not confident and didn't have enough experience to be working with patients yet. The first time she poked me she hit a nerve and I felt a shock in my wrist just below my thumb. She tried my other arm and couldn't find a vein. Luckily, she called in someone who found a vein right away. After the appointment I tried to call the office to ask if I should be concerned at the shock I felt but I kept getting their fax machine no matter what number I tried. The team here was great. There was a mixup with my lab order from the doctor’s office and Emily worked directly with them to help get it fixed and assisted them to get right script put into the system. I’ve been to the Middletown Loca many times and they’ve always been helpful and professional.
Got in and out quickly, staff was friendly, and the blood draw was quick and painless.
