Happy to say she solved my problem. Dr. Makani told me she thought I most likely had anemia due to b vitamin deficiency. I was already taking a prenatal with folic acid and b12, so I didn’t think it could be a problem. I went out and got a b vitamin supplement that afternoon and my hemoglobin improved to better than normal within only a few days. Not at all surprised to find out she went to Harvard. She can think outside the box.
Dr. Makani is very kind, caring and compassionate. She is very knowledgeable which is reassuring for the patient. Her staff has always been attentive and respectful as well as empathetic and compassionate. Highly recommend Dr. Makani!
