Happy to say she solved my problem. Dr. Makani told me she thought I most likely had anemia due to b vitamin deficiency. I was already taking a prenatal with folic acid and b12, so I didn’t think it could be a problem. I went out and got a b vitamin supplement that afternoon and my hemoglobin improved to better than normal within only a few days. Not at all surprised to find out she went to Harvard. She can think outside the box.

Dr. Makani is very kind, caring and compassionate. She is very knowledgeable which is reassuring for the patient. Her staff has always been attentive and respectful as well as empathetic and compassionate. Highly recommend Dr. Makani!

Love Dr Makani she is very personable, kind and has great bedside manner. I have had four oncologist and she has been the best! She explains in great detail where you can understand. The receptionist staff is not as friendly. I did have a great nurse who drew my blood. The Dr is incredible and I highly recommend Dr Makani. I was reluctant when I was assigned her from Dr Desai but I am now forever grateful.

Dr. Makani is wonderful. She gives you her complete and compassionate time and attention, detailing the explanations of your disease, treatment and recovery while writing notes that you can take with you. She listens carefully, and remembers your personal story. Her open-minded approach and willingness to suggest non-medical supplements for the side-effects in addition to prescriptions is really helpful. I couldn’t be happier that she is my oncologist.
