After heavy island winds sheared off part of our motorhome’s fiberglass roof, Colin at Competitive Edge diagnosed us with “a predicament” - and then got to work. After making time in his schedule for us on short notice, he sourced materials, crafted a patch strategy, and had us on our way after a day’s work that included new roofing and two new vents. My wife and i are travelling across Canada and had a problem with the front driver side 5th wheel leg not moving up or down. Colin was quick to diagnose the problem even with a 5ight fit in that area because of our genset. Experience and necessity are the mothers of invention and craftsmanship. We were towing our trailer when the wheel bearing let go 20 km outside of Gander. When we called Colin, he said to bring it in and he would look at it for us. It was almost 5pm by the time the tow truck was loaded and heading to Gander. I called Colin again and said we were on our way. He said he would be there waiting for us. As soon as the trailer was unloaded, Colin went to work. He had parts in stock and was able to fix us up quickly. What could've ruined our vacation became a miner inconvenience thanks to Colin.
