THE WORST OF THE WORST!! Do NOT hire Compassus Hospice for your loved ones! UNFORTUNATELY I had to learn the hard way.... Totally unprofessional. Cannot receive any type of phone call back from nurses or social worker... the SOCIAL WORKER WAS THE WORST PART OF COMPASSUS! She would tell the office she was coming to our home and then just drive by (GPS) and not even come into our home.. she would call us from outside and tell us "theres no parking", etc .. ... the entire experience was so unprofessional at the saddest time of ... read more

I just read Candice Ahrendt’s review of Compassus . Myself and my family had a similar traumatic experience with this company in August of 2023 in regards to my mother. I called 3 times the night my mother was in distress asking for help , unaware what was happening to her. I asked for the on-call nurse, Anna. She would not come to help me even though I asked for her help. There was a call log that recorded my calls that night and the times I called. 3 times and no help. I thought I was going crazy. We had admitted my grandmother into hospice on Friday. When the nurse arrived, she went through my grandmother‘s cabinets and grab random pills, crushed them up and gave them to her at 1:30. 830 at night. We had a hard time waking her. The following day, the on-call nurse had ordered a fentanyl patch for her because there was no way for us to get morphine Until Monday. In addition to the fentanyl patch, they also ordered Ativan. Compassus hospice recently came in to our home to help with my father who was diagnosed with cancer. The nurses are wonderful caring and patient. Their aide was especially wonderful with my father. She was a great help to me. I can’t say enough about her.Their social worker is very knowledgeable and willing to help in any way you need or even just to lend an ear if need be. The nurses, the caregivers, the caseworker and pastor were amazing. They made the remaining time for my mom comfortable and made her smile. They really cared about my mom and family. I can not say enough about all of them. They are all amazing people.
