This is my least favorite crisis center in the area. They act like they only will treat people close to them, even though they are supposed to not have catchment areas. Their job is to help people in crisis, however they are extremely picky in who they help. It is way easier to get help and resources from either Burrell or KCATC. I would definitely try those first and use this center as a last resort. I have ADHD, and there’s currently a stimulant shortage for what I normally take. I called multiple pharmacies in the area and they didn’t have any of the doses I’d normally take in stock. My coworker mentioned this place to me, so I got a lower dosage of my prescription sent to them. I called the pharmacy to let them know, and the man that answered was very polite and knowledgeable about the stimulant shortage, and even gave me information on my drug’s expiring patent that I didn’t know about. I wish mental health was taken as seriously as physical health. We had called ahead to see if this facility would be good for me and upon arrival the doors were locked and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone.! Very aggravating to anyone who needs mental intervention without being labeled as insane
