Produce is often rotten, or over-ripe. I have seen shriveled cucumbers and strawberries covered in white fuzzy mold, for example. I've seen browning meat that is supposed to be red and fresh. Areas of the store smell of rotting animal flesh. They have kids as young as 8 bagging groceries, in violation of child labor laws. They are also insanely over priced on pretty much everything. People shop there out of desperation.. The only thing worth buying there are the 10lb bags of ice for less than 2 dollars.
