Absolutely love that his is a free use to the public. Very well done and the volunteers are great. So lucky to have in the area
Always an amazing experience to be able to use large publicly accessible telescopes, and have knowledgeable docents there to tell you anything you want to know. The sky observation amphitheater is wonderful, just keep in mind it gets cold.
Interactive and fun. Good way to spend a couple of hours and just hang out. Bring a blanket.
Folsom Lake College Observatory also known as Cameron Park Observatory and Community Observatory right by Diamond Springs. A great place to watch the stars! Open every Fri, Sat, Sun night. Often hosted by astronomy students and professors from Folsom Lake College. You can bring your own telescope and join the star party.
