Community helping hand is a great non profit thrift store. They have amazing prices and are always polite. I would totally recommend them over any other thrift store. They really take pride in helping the community. All of their donations go back to the community and support those in need. I highly highly suggest anyone to check it out. They were recently closed for construction because someone drove into their store. I applaud them for taking the correct safety measures and keeping their volunteers and customers safe. Things have changed. Prices much higher. Walked in today to find new security detection system at door. Security tags on many things. I understand thrifting has changed. More shoppers with economy ,resellers, theft, higher operational costs but makes me sad. Many low income people may not be able to shop here for things they really need. Not the deals as in ... read more

Half the time I come here to the store during posted hours, it’s not open. The sign on the door will say it’s closed for whatever reason and will reopen on a particular day. You come on that day or after and maybe it will be open or maybe it won’t. It’s very frustrating and disrespectful to customers. Otherwise the prices are good and no complaints.
