I moved to Vermont in 2023 and needed to find a primary health professional in short order as I have some chronic health issues that I need to have monitored. CHC Essex got me in quickly. At first there was some rocky communication, but I feel as if it got smoothed out once I'd addressed it with my provider. When I had a medical crisis regarding my diabetes, I felt as if it was taken seriously and addressed. I was able to see a specialist and get a medical plan in short order. Inexperienced staff, they try, but don’t really have experienced staff to handle proper mentoring. It’s like having an eight year old try to draw your blood. Left covered in bruises. Clumsy referral processes that take forever too.
Hard to get appts or even talk with a nurse on call. I know they are seeing super high volume of patients, but it feels like too big of a barrier for care.
