Community Forklift is the DC area's hometown salvage yard. We pick up donations throughout the DC region, then offer those items to the public in our 40,000 square foot warehouse. Love this place!! An amazing resource for the community. I always find useful and interesting things there. Friendly staff and great prices, with a mix of curated vintage and more affordable contemporary pieces. I think they should let me open all the paint to swatch it on the side so it's easier to shop 😅
i had such a bad experience here recently and normally id HATE giving this place a bad review but i was shocked at how rude everyone that worked there was. i wandered around for a long time with no help, had to ask a man to move a $10 door for me so i could buy it, waited for a looong time because the cashier was on the phone trying to tell someone on the phone they dont take cabinets. she asked three other employees for this answer and no one responded to her. so we all waited for her on the phone. once she got off the phon... read more
Example of why I don’t go here anymore: one small mason jar with lid is $3.50!!! New, they are about $15/dozen from the grocery store . Who is pricing this stuff? Also, I find it hilarious that there’s a big sign warning that security cameras are being used on the section that sells all the chipped up, mismatched dinner plates and dusty packets of decorative napkins from six years ago.
