I have been trying for two hours this morning to pay an $80 bill that I just received yesterday. I tried last night for an hour to log on make an account to try to pay this bill. Bill never could get it done. They come up with leave your voicemail and we’ll get back to you and then it says this phone is not set up to take voicemail. That was on three phone numbers. It is always had to deal with a billing company. Especially Hospital bills that are inflated. I have been trying to contact them in order to update insurance information. Wait times are unacceptable. People are at work and we don't have time to sit on hold and then they want to put you in collections
This is soooo predatory. Bill came in saying it was past due… but due date is on December 15th. This is the first bill I’ve received and it was sent 11/25. They immediately put you on hold, doesn't matter which option you select, you won’t get to speak with a person from the jump. They don’t send an itemized bill or offer one immediately online because they’re trying to sneak some BS charges in there NO DOUBT. Nowhere to add insurance on their website. Wait time is crazy. The Medical Center at Albany along with Commonwealth Financial Resources is attempting to bill about $600 per session of Physical Therapy when the average rate is $85-$125 per session depending on location and service. I personally did not receive an estimate beforehand and was extremely surprised when I received my first bill at which point I had already completed 11 sessions. The billed amount for those 11 sessions was $6570!! Call and get estimates and ask your PCP to refer you to a facility with reasonable rates. I wish ... read more
These people are nothing but liars. I had a much needed surgery in February and received a bill for almost $3,000. It should come as no surprise, given the current economic state, that I cannot afford such a bill when I can barely afford to eat most days. I called to inquire about a financial assistance application and was told to print it off at home and was told to bring in proof of income and the application.
