I recently just got my 1994 Defender back from Bill and I’m so amazed by the complete restoration him and his crew did to my dream car. It’s a masterpiece. I have a very similar story to @James Neissa's below. I found a 1996 Defender in FL last winter. We got a rec to Commonwealth Classics from a friend of a friend. I contacted Bill and he was excited to chat and get start ... .sadly these days I know why. We had a few conversations about the work to be completed and then signed a contract and I sent a deposit of $60k for the work to begin.
