This is my favorite shop in So Cal. I always find yarns, books and patterns to inspire me and everyone is so nice and helpful. I don't live in the area and I visit shops all over and this is the shop that feels like home. I have wanted to move to Encinitas since I found found this place just to be close by.
I love this shop! Beautiful selection of yarn, tools, books. They are SO friendly and helpful for both knitting and crochet projects. A cozy, happy place!
Everything about Common Threads is the BEST. Nancy is honest, capable, helpful, and WAY knowledgeable. And did I mention that she has great taste and in depth knowledge of design? She knows which yarns can substitute for each other and the subtle differences between brands of knitting needles. I once went all over town looking for "the right buttons" for one of my projects. I showed her my project and she walked right over to the buttons and picked out ones that looked fantastic. She's like that!
