Common Ground has completely changed my perspective on ma training. I travel 50 minutes each way specifically for private lessons with the owners, Alex and Sally. Their teaching methodology (ecological / constraints-led) makes a massive difference in how you absorb information. I feel like I am genuinely improving every session. Our son really enjoys his private lessons with Coach Sally at Renzo Gracie Pasadena. It’s been a wonderfully positive and affirming environment for him to learn jiujitsu. He really takes to the creative and customized approach from which Coach Sally teaches through games and problem solving. This allows him to combine the techniques he is learning in an organic and intuitive way. Common Ground Jiu Jitsu has been such a gift for both me and my daughter. Alex and Sally are very passionate about jiu jitsu and it shows. As a middle-aged woman starting martial arts, I was initially nervous about the physical demand, but Sally has been incredible.
