I have been with CE for 7 years with ~$450 total savings. My solar project is located in Ghent. The billing has become streamlined with NYSEG - making it easier to understand kW/hour rate and delivery charges. Overall - this has been a nice way to support an alternative energy source.
I have been getting my electricity assigned to my account from this company for about 3 years now. The electricity is made by solar panels which is great. However the company is engaged in deceptive business practices, they owe me $200 worth of referral gift cards for 4 people I referred to them that signed up for the service, that I have brought to their attention twice and they have failed to make good on.
really terrible experience. signed up. never heard back. takes 3 months to actually sign up. loads of confusion between pseg and them. money deducted randomly 7 months after signup. when inquired they stated delays from pseg. online account is horrible. there is no actual information. same as the invoice. just says pay this amount. their payment method is deduct from bank account. with no way to verify anything, this is a massive scam. i have cancelled. glad i did. same type of business model with property tax reduction scam... read more
Shame on me.. I've been getting scammed by this company and not realizing it. In January alone Common Energy deducted over $450 from my debit account and they've been crediting me $135 average on my energy bill. I called in to find out how this makes sense and they said they needed to increase my allocation. It what world is this not a scam. Common Energy withdraws my money and give me back a small percentage of it and blame me for not calling sooner to adjust my allocation. Beware. Not recommended. They are doing an audit o... read more
