Just got a notice from a legit debt collection company saying they were given my account for $25 from Comfort Medical. I was never contacted by Comfort medical, had zero notice of any issue and my medical supplies are covered 100% by my insurance. I have been receiving my supplies from them for more than 2 years and have never paid or owed a dollar due to my insurance. This is the second time they have sent my account to collections, without even giving me a call or sending me a letter. I have my account on autopay which is up to date. The first time it happened I gave them the benefit of the doubt and paid the bill (after spending hours on hold with them, their third party biller, and the collections agency). I am down to 2 and have not heard anything compared to constant badgering to reorder
This company has left my fiance without catheters twice now. The first time he was without for 2 weeks. And I spent 6 hrs in phone between them and insurance. Plus I called prior to making sure everything was set. And here I go again 4 hrs in the phone. And will be without catheters today. I am so upset that my fiance got staff infection the last time this happened. Because he had to reuse the old ones. This is beyond ridiculous. And to think they call themselves comfort medical. They said i cant reorder until i have 10 days supplies left , so i call to reorder and they said they will ship it in 14 days , wtf , that leaves me with NO supplies for 4 days . Great plan you got there . And every call to them is a nightmare !!!!
