I was distraught when I found myself in the position to find help for my husband after he was discharged from a skilled rehab center after a hip fracture. Comfort Keepers were so incredibly helpful, taking care of all the paperwork, accommodating my work schedule with long hours of service, and providing kind and compassionate care. Comfort Keepers took care of me, as well as my husband, by supporting me emotionally and reducing my anxiety. Comfort Keepers has been fantastic for my mother. They have the gift of matching a caregiver to the client. They stay in touch and are very reasonably priced. We had interviewed several care giving providers and Comfort Keepers exceeded our expectations!
I am disappointed with the inconsistent level of training from worker to worker. C.K apparently relies on an outgoing worker training the incoming worker. That doesn't work when someone who wasn't trained very well by their trainer trains the next person. Also, there must be some initial training by the company and that doesn't seem very thorough or consistent. For instance, each worker should know the basics such as how to operate a all household appliances. All housekeeping personnel should be schooled in company policies... read more
