12/02/2021 I looked at the reviews of many places in the area and chose this hotel because I thought the room would be clean and comfortable. It was. I had a room on the 3rd floor. It wasn't as worn as some of the reviews said. The tile was cracked in the bathroom though. My room overlooked the parking lot, which to my surprise had no lights for security. The rooms are nice for the most part and beds are comfortable. There is mold in the rooms. I know this because one of my guests with me is severely allergic to mold and had breathing and sinus issues both nights we were there. The breakfast that used to be so great was lacking. Only sausage was made an option. No bacon. No Oatmeal. No Peanut Butter for breads or to put on the waffles as most people like to do. The baked goods and breads were stale. The phone in the room didn't work when trying to contact the front desk, but I'm unsure if we were just not using it right, meaning it's possible that there's nothing wrong with them, we just didn't know what we were doing. We also had to get our keys reprogrammed because the lock to the room was being funky. The reprogram fixed it without hassle. The Comfort Inn & Suites Ocean Shores is really a great place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have features I haven't encountered before. My room had a ceiling fan and an AC unit making the room very comfortable. I also appreciated the skin lotion, shampoo, and conditioner bottles were mounted to the wall for easy use.
