I had Comfort Home Appliance give me an estimate for repair to a commercial grade wine fridge with an issue I had already been able to diagnose. They insisted I would need to pay for a service call which would be applied to the repair which I was ok with. Knowing the price of the part from the manufacture (who I spoke to in length with) was $159 I was expecting a repair estimate in the range of $350ish. Comfort Home Appliance was unable to diagnose the problem with our appliance at our home. More than a week after keeping our appliance at their shop, they still did not have a diagnosis or estimate. They did not communicate status updates. Ultimately, they were unable to determine the problem with our appliance and provided an estimate that exceeded the cost of buying a new replacement. Communication and timeliness were unacceptable.
My side by side Samsung Refrigerator stopped working. The freezer side was still good, but the fridge section died. I called around to 5-6 different repair shops and got the answers that they didn't do Samsung, didn't do residential, etc. I called Comfort Home, and they were very courteous, and scheduled a 4 hour window for later in the day.
