RecommendedHave to say is the best experiences I’ve had with a transmission rebuilt. Had ordered a monster transmission originally, never again. Monster sent a poorly rebuilt transmission, pan was crushed in it lasted maybe a mile before all forward gears went out. Columbus Transmission saves the day, I dropped off the original transmission. They had it completely rebuilt in less than a week for less than Monster charged. I was referred to Columbus Transmission by mechanic & neighbor. A bad shimmy, dash rattling. Felt like gears skipping too. I talked to Floyd at Cols.Trans. He and Todd, very knowledgible. Got my truck in day after snow ice storm. Next afternoon got a call from Floyd. They ran diagnostics twice, road testing... Found transmission was fine. possible driveshaft and brake issue. And referred me to a service to look at problem. No fee for diagnostics... Still cant believe it, Best service I've received. Mel
Honest, efficient and completely reliable. It's been a year since they replaced the transmission in my 04 Explorer and if I have any questions or concerns I can just call them or bring my Explorer in and they will take a look. I recommend them with confidence!
I was referred by a mechanic friend that had Floyd and his expert staff of transmission specialists work on his wifes car. I called and they were able to get me in quickly. I have a 2003 Trailblazer with 4 wheel drive and it was running so bad I could not drive on the freeway. I dropped it off with a price quote 300.00 less than anyone else in town. They called me a few days later and found the lines to and from the radiator were rusted and worthless. They went ahead and did the repairs and stuck to my original quoted price.... read more
They did an awesome job on my car's transmission and got it back to me as fast as possible! Floyd made sure I got home the day I was stuck unable to drive my car. They even did extra service at a very minimal cost to me to be sure I was safe driving! Definitely go there if you need transmission/car repair. Happy to have found such a great place to go!
EXCELLENT SERVICE!! – I was referred to Columbus Transmission by a friend, due to a problem that we thought was transmission related. Todd at this shop was extremely helpful with getting my truck shop and looked at quickly. Excellent Service – After pulling a trailer with my 2001 Ford Escape through the mountains and in a blizzard my vehicle started experiencing transmission problems. Being from out of town, I was referred to Columbus Transmission by a local mechanic. I called and immediately on the first phone call with Todd was treated very well and with concern.
