This place was built in 1928 and has the most beautiful interior. The seating is very limited at times, so get tickets early. You can't cancel your tickets for any reason. My husband tried because he picked the wrong date. That's a downfall, because if you needed to change because more people were attending with you or because you have an emergency you can't get refunded. The interior is quite pleasing. While locating the restroom during intermission proved a bit challenging, and an usher inadvertently bumped me with the door upon entry, the overall experience was enjoyable.
Fabulous, engaging afternoons at two different concerts so far! Beethoven 5 and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. The Ohio Theatre is historic and beautiful. The CAPA ushers/staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciate that you could bring your drinks into the theater so you don’t have to gulp an entire glass of wine during the 15-minute intermission (at least as of 2025-2026 policies). The atmosphere, decor and just being in the building is awe inspiring. It draws you in with its whimsical art and history, offering you a view into a time when every minute detail was meticulously hand carved and cared for. Can't wait to go back again for anything they're playing or showing!
