Very disappointed with this office. I am a Type 1 diabetic. My insurance company would not cover my previous endocrinologist. I called COPC over a month ago and was told that they were accepting new patients. I went through the process of having a referral faxed over from my previous provider. No response for a month. After continued calls and no response I finally got a call from them declining my referral. I am left without a doctor or insulin medication that is critical to my health. I had a referral made through my primary care doctor for an endocrinologist. I have EXTREMELY high thyroid antibody levels (sign of Hashimoto’s, but not always), all the symptoms of Hashimoto’s (weight gain, depression, fatigue, joint pain, etc.), AND a strong family history of Hashimoto’s disease (mom, maternal aunt, maternal grandmother, and other cousins and aunts on the maternal side).
