I went to ER at the request of Urgent Care for evaluation. ER has equipment for a scan that UC doesn’t have.Triage checked blood pressure & pulse.Did a EKG, drew blood. Prepped me for IV & to do a cat scan with contrast. I was there about 4 hrs. I asked girl who put needle in my wrist how long it might be before I have cat scan. She went & checked & in a little while a guy came out to discharge me. I asked what about cat scan, he said no the dr. didn’t order it. He ripped the needle out of my wrist.
I have brought my father here a couple of times in the last few years. The first time was not a great experience the staff were plentiful some what professional but seemed distracted by one another. The did have a bed in the ER for my dad so they sat him in a chair near an automatic door that opened every time someone walked past it and it was freezing out side and the staff just kept walking past every two seconds. My experiences at this hospital are always awful. Came in for kidney stones. The wait was, as expected, terribly long. However, the worst part was the staff. The nurses (one specifically) were running up and down the hallway screaming to each other, fooling around, in the middle of the night. Another was looking at houses on Zillow on the hospital computer. The whole ED is also just dingy and truly dirty.
