Bought my first home through them in 2003. Great experience; excellent quality home at a fraction of the cost of the local dealer lots. Zero problems with the home for the 20 years I lived in it. Although I can’t speak to the current market, I will be inquiring again soon as I look to own again.
I looks like the big negative review is from someone that is not located in the Columbia sales area and has a history of giving poor reviews. The review related to the sale of a car trailer was a personal transaction of a one of a kind unit. It had nothing to do with Columbia Homes. It is unfortunate but it was first come first serve and people doing transactions on Craigslist are notorious for not showing up. The first person to look at the trailer bought it.
I toured several available home's. I was impressed with the style and quality offered. I also liked the variety of floor plans.
