I was able to try a haircut at Coloration Bar (thanks to a Groupon!) with Natalie back late September (2025) to help get my dead ends cut off. And she boldly advised and helped to lighten the heaviness in my hair, put in great layers, and really trim off inches that I was scared to lose that ultimately worked out for the best because it grew out longer and healthily! This salon is a class act and clearly well-managed. It’s rare these days to see an owner who takes the time to personally introduce themselves and check in on customers, it’s the kind of professional courtesy you only see in businesses that truly value their clientele. The atmosphere is professional, the service is top-tier, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of work. It’s great to find a place that understands both great hair and great hospitality.
Haircut by Wendy I was so scared about trying a new haircut at a new place after years of searching for a forever hair stylist but after I found this place and got a short layered haircut with Wendy I have never been this happy with my hair before. Wendy was great! Used a groupon and added extra service (cut layers) but price was still very affordable compared to other West LA spots. Wendy made sure I liked the length/style before she cut and gave helpful suggestions for my face shape.
The worst experience ever in my whole life with a hair salon. Neither the cut nor the balayage (with Taylor) not what I asked for and we agreed on. However she is a sweetheart and kind person. The owner (Nathalie) has passive aggressive and denial attitude is something that you wont expect to get included in the service you ve been even overcharged and stepped out disappointed and felt disrespected.
