Stop unnecessary testing on birds. There are new and improved methods that do not involve animal cruelty.
Stop trapping wild birds for West Nile experiments with no intentions of helping to defeat this disease.
Purposely trapping and infecting birds with WNV with no intent to use the information to help wildlife is despicable. Stop these cruel experiments!!
I was horrified to learn that experimenters at Colorado State University led by Gregory Ebel trap American crows, American robins, and house sparrows in the wild; imprison these birds in a school laboratory; infect them with West Nile virus; and kill them. As long as you continue cruel tests in the school lab killing birds and making them tremendously stressed and horrifically suffered I deny recommending CSU. It is paradoxical that you conduct stupid tests which don't help neither birds nor humans in a place ("uniwersity"!) where I would expect to meet an authority, or at least wisdom.
By stopping their barbaric acts of trapping crows,robins and sparrows and infecting them with the West Nile Virus then killing the birds after the torture!!!
