I've been going every year for 20 some years. It's gotten a lot more popular since Instagram Reels and TikToks have shown people what they're missing. I hope they consider expanding or having a longer run, if it's possible. I would happily layer up my garb to attend a winter festival!
Good time! I recommend getting there as early as possible. We didn’t do that and got stuck in traffic for 1.5 hours just waiting to get into the parking lot. Also bring cash! EDIT 2025: - Buy tickets at King Soopers. - Plan to arrive at least by 9-9:30am! Lots of visibly queer people. Not very immersive.
Edit: The owners of this place really need to drop some money on updating the facade and making some capital improvments. It's getting sad guys, really showing it's age. Otherwise it's a super fun time. It is very crowded most weekends so be prepared for lots of people. This has consistently been a part of my family every summer for as long as I can remember.
