I would not recommend doing business with Colorado Engine. I brought my truck to them to have a rebuilt long block installed and was quoted $9500. I was made aware at the time that if they ran into other parts that needed to be replaced the bill could go up. When the job was done, the total was over $16,000 and I had no choice but to take their word that all of the extra parts needed to be replaced. I was told that my Ford diesel 7.3 engine had blown a head gasket from 'my' diesel guy across town who has done a ton of work for me over the years. Colorado Engine gave me a better price to drop in a remanufactured engine, so I brought it to them to make it happen. They told me right away that they took a good look at the engine and couldn't see anything wrong with it - the problem was just a couple hundred $ worth of radiator work!
