First of all, I had an upright MRI that show Chiari Malformation. Was sent here for the doctor to state they measured it wrong. Oh ok. I get a normal(laying down) mri of my head for other reason (2 years later) it is now showing my Chiari is much worse as my first several MRIs done to appease this office were with upright MRI. I originally saw Dr. Oro 5 years ago when I was first diagnosed with Chiari. A few years later I saw Dr. Stephen. During those visits I was still figuring out if I was prepared to have my decompression surgery or not. Earlier this year I decided the timing was right and went ahead and scheduled a consult with Dr. Buchanan. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Buchanan, Caroline, and their staff. Dr. Buchanan revised a botched surgery I had previously and this man gave me my life back!!!! I am so grateful!
I guess if you're on Medicaid, you're not accepted. Poor people just get shoved to stay down and out, in pain, not worthy of treatment because we can't fill these Drs. pockets. This is horrible, you can't help people that are in this situation because of the Chiari Malformation and Syrinx. What even is the point of your business if you're are sending people away that are in desperate need of your assistance. Just sad.
Both the doctor and his NP are wonderful. They listen and genuinely want to help!! For the first time in my life, I've gotten answers and am so looking forward to living my life again!
