They were helpful. Amy Foster was amazing! Dr. Sparrow would like to see more animals get adopted. That's what happens when animals aren't spayed and neutered, animals have to get euthanized. Now they have enlisted more people to try to place these animals into rescues and furever homes!!! �

I have a friend from the Dothan area who works with rescue in that area and she had for years. She went to Colony Vet and tried to talk to them about contacting her before they put dogs down she would come get them. They have kennels, vans to transport dogs, people who help care for them till transport to new homes. Colony was very ugly wanted huge amount of money for each dog. Now you tell me why it was better to put dogs down instead of contacting a reputable rescue and letting them find homes?
We adopted a German shepherd puppy from here a week ago. He was limping and we were told he jumped in his cage, caught his leg, and was found hanging by his leg in the morning, but vet had given him a shot of cortisone and he "would be fine." Today heart worm test results from our local vet were positive and our vet diagnosed torn ligament in leg, will require surgery which will be about $3,000. Heart worm treatment requires he be kept quiet for months. It will cost over $400. They knew about his torn ligament and lied to us... read more
