We love this place! We visit Roanoke 6-7 times a year to see our grandchildren and we’re so happy to have found Colony House Motor Lodge. The staff are always friendly and the rooms are very comfortable and convenient. We love that this motel lives on and has been beautifully restored, and still has all its historic charm. We especially love being here in the summer when we can have fun with our grandchildren in the outdoor pool!
We loved our stay at Colony House. The design is awesome, the whole place was immaculate, and it just has a really cool, relaxed feel to it. The rooms are great, the happy hour is a nice touch, and everyone on staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed there on our way to drop our son off at Virginia Tech and it worked out perfectly. It’s close enough to Blacksburg to make it easy, but honestly we’d stay at Colony House even if Blacksburg had plenty of rooms. Just a really special place. We’ll definitely be back.
Stayed here twice in May 2026 while I was biking the Blue Ridge Parkway. Clean and very comfortable, with a neat "retro" motor court vibe. It is right on a busy street, but the rooms are very quiet and there is plenty of parking.
Absolutely amazing! Very clean, relaxing, with vintage charm. Beds comfortable, grounds and pool were well maintained. I wish there were more hotels like this one. Rates were fairly priced, we had an awesome time!!!
