We stayed here with my elderly mother, who struggles with stairs. First, the remodel is amazing. If you love mid-century modern, you will deeply regret NOT staying here. I believe it has a historical designation now, and it both looks and feels like it. The rooms have so much space! Most of these reviews are over a decade old. The hotel reopened in August 2026 after a $12 million remodel. It's perfect. The rooms are spacious. The beds are amazing. The details are spot on. They have an over size ice bucket with their logo in the room and the mini fridge has a retro vibe. Also, it works and doesn't need to be defrosted. We stayed two nights over Memorial Weekend. The Colony House is newly renovated. Built in 1959, the classic look and feel of a contemporary motor lodge. The renovation is excellent. We loved our room, the reception at check-in, coffee in the front desk lounge, There is also a pool, which looked absolutely charming, but the rain prohibited swimming. Quiet, large comfortable rooms! We will visit again.
We’ve stayed there 4 times and each visit has been a joy. These folks are an example of how all hotel should be operated. Thank you!
Colony House Motor Lodge is absolutely perfect! Michelle and I have stayed in many hotels over the past 47 years. This Lodge doesn't just stand out because we were there earlier this week. The renovation was amazing!!! The MCM feel was beautiful and plush. As a machinist of nearly 49 years, I have strived for perfection. I am driven to do my very best.
