Not the nicest place but we'll worth the money. Where else can you be right on the beach.
How does this place have so many good reviews?? It’s close to the beach. Otherwise everything about it was terrible. Air conditioner window units are old and so loud we got no sleep. Beds were old and uncomfortable with flat pillows. Bathtub didn’t drain. Light bulbs out in bathroom. Towels had long hair in them. The whole place needs to be renovated. I don’t recommend this place at all.
Solo female traveler. Room was on small side with one bed, but also had small kitchenette, which is convenient. There was bare minimal silverware and cookware, so if you plan on making full meals, bring that you need. Everything was meticulously clean, even baseboards and window sills. Sheets were clean, towels pure white and fluffy, pillows flat, but that's pretty par for the course, and I brought my own from home. This place getting 5 stars is a joke, those 5 stars must be from friends I'm sure no tenant in their right mind would give 5 stars except its proximity to the beach. Our room had roaches and they would not change our room. They did however give us a slight refund, but charged us $100 for a lost key. Parking is a major hassle and their security harassed my family that stopped by to pick my daughter up. I love this place. We have stayed here several times over the years. Should have written a review earlier. It’s an older motel but very clean, very comfortable, very affordable, and awesome location. Thanks Colonial Shores for always being our go to place!!
